Can Corvus One drones validate my empty locations?
Yes - we can give an occupancy percentage as well, for utilization optimization.
Can the Corvus One drones count cases, beyond validating full pallets?
Yes - depending on the organization of the cases! Items must be visible from at least one angle, and if they’re palletized cases, ideally in a regular tie-high. Please contact sales@corvus-robotics.com with pictures of your case locations for verification.
Can Corvus One drones fly during operational hours?
Yes! Many of our Fortune 500 customers have Corvus One drones fly during active shifts. Corvus One has omnidirectional collision avoidance and will stop before people or forklifts, with visual and audio features to alert people of its presence. However, for added safety, we’ll always advise workers to wait until the drone is finished in an aisle before entering.
Can Corvus One drones fly at night, lights out, when no one’s in the facility?
Yes! Corvus One drones can fly in fully dark environments with all lights out, to save electricity and be green. No one has to be in the facility when Corvus One drones fly, saving labor and energy costs.
Do I need to put up stickers or reflectors everywhere in my warehouse for Corvus One drones? That’s a lot of work!
Thankfully, no! Autonomous inventory drones shouldn’t require much external setup at all - they’re supposed to be autonomous, after all. You can keep your existing barcodes, rack layouts, location barcodes, etc. Putting up hundreds or thousands of stickers or adding expensive reflectors would be a bummer!
What if my racking layout changes?
Luckily, Corvus One inventory drones fly without needing thousands of location stickers or reflector beacons. We can likely just reconfigure the software of the map remotely; you won’t need to change any racking labels or anything like that.
Do I need Wi-Fi in my warehouse facility to operate?
No - Corvus One inventory drones fly fully autonomously without Wi-Fi, so you never have to worry about dead spots or weak signals causing drone drifts or crashes.
Can I keep using my existing barcodes for my inventory, or do I have to change all my barcodes to yours? (Are my existing 1D or 2D barcodes okay?)
Likely, yes. Corvus One drones carry an expensive, industrial-grade barcode scanner, just like associates on the floor of the world’s largest warehouses. Likely, whatever your associates on the floor can scan, we can also scan -- regardless of 1D or 2D barcodes; sideways or upside orientation; through shrink wrap, etc. To ascertain though, please email sales@corvus-robotics.com with a picture of your barcode labels.
Do my barcodes have to be placed neatly in a certain location on every pallet? What if there are missing barcode labels on a pallet?
No, Corvus One drones use AI to find your barcode labels, wherever they are -- sideways, upside down, ripped, missing (we’ll flag them as an exception if they’re unreadable!). We consolidate these into operational suggestions to improve inventory quality, but you are free to place the barcodes nearly anywhere you’re currently placing them on your pallets.
Do I need to also pay a human to follow your drones, like to fly your drones or swap their batteries?
Of course not! Corvus One drones fly themselves in the warehouse. What would be the point of an autonomous drone that constantly needed a person’s supervision?
My warehouse is small. Are inventory drones a good fit for me?
For facilities less than 10,000 sqft (1,000 sqm), cameras with Corvus computer vision may be a better solution. Contact “Custom Solutions” to learn more.
My facility is near an airport. Will Corvus One drones still work? Some commercial drones won’t take off due to GPS restrictions near protected airspace.
Yes! We custom-built our drones for you, and since they only fly indoors, there are no FAA restrictions for taking off in your warehouse.
Do you connect to our WMS / ERP?
Yes, we’ll work with your facility IT / WMS team to connect our warehouse drone with your data. We have a Corvus API, in addition to a suite of software for simple data import / export and comparisons. Our team has worked with all major WMS (such as SAP, Manhattan, JDA, AS/400, and so forth), and have readily adapted to legacy, homegrown, or niche WMS as well.
How do you store our inventory data? Is it cloud stored?
We have on-prem data storage (where your data is stored locally at the site, not stored on the cloud), as well as paid cloud hosting solutions.
Where are your drones made? I’ve heard sensitive things about overseas-made drones.
All Corvus One drones are built in the USA, in California. We don’t use an overseas-built drone for you; we invented, designed, manufacture, and test every single drone in our US site. They are never overseas.
What do I need for Corvus One drone systems to work in my facility?
You’ll need 1 Ethernet connection and 1 power drop for the landing pad.
Can you help with our annual physical inventory (PI)?
Yes, please contact sales@corvus-robotics.com with dates, approximate number of locations to be validated, and any other relevant information. You will need to be a Corvus One customer with our system installed to take advantage of this.
Can you scan RFID?
Not one of our offerings today. Have you successfully implemented RFID tags for your pallets already?
Can your warehouse inventory drones scan double- or multiple-deep locations?
The drone cameras and barcode scanner can only “see” the front-most item, so multiple-deep stored locations can’t be scanned.
